Hi, my name is Pete Webber and I own and run Dot-Funk.com
I have been making and creating music for nearly 20 years now and have recently delved into the world of home recording using my computer as a DAW (digital audio workstation). I play the guitar, bass and keyboards.
Many years ago in the early 90’s co-created a band called the Phuse which was a 10 piece jazz/funk/latin outfit. Although I am not actively playing in a band at the moment I still keep in touch with band members through social media (some of them live half-way across the world now) so who knows what the future holds.
My main musical interests are jazz, blues, house & garage, hip-hop, rock, latin, salsa and folk. I am the proud owner of a Gibson Epiphone semi-accoustic and a MIM (made in Mexico) Fender Stratocaster 60’s reissue.
Outside of music my professional background is in IT, I am a freelance contractor and consultant. I also am very passionate about internet marketing and business building.
The Dot-Funk website and blog is a fusion of my passion and love for music, my ability to help non-technical users get more out of computers to achieve their goals and my interest in online marketing and connecting people with the information they are looking for.
The purpose of Dot-Funk is to make music creation accessible and attainable for anyone who wants to fulfil the dream of making their own music. You can read my company’s full mission statement and core values here.
